About the race
The Blind K Blindfold Run/Walk is a 5K event designed to give participants a glimpse of life with low or no vision. Teams of two run or walk together, with one partner blindfolded, either for the full course or switching halfway. The experience highlights the trust essential in any team performing sight restoration, echoing the collaboration of surgeons, scrub techs, and donors.
Proceeds support Vision Outreach International, which funds cataract surgeries worldwide; $35 is described as the average cost of such procedures in VOI’s service areas.
