Course and logistics
Both distances use a USATF-certified, paved out-and-back course on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail. The full marathon is a spectator-friendly 4-loop course with seven turns for the full 26.2 miles; each loop is described as one quarter of a marathon. The half marathon consists of two loops of the certified course. Fully automatic timing and runner tracking are provided.
On-course hydration is offered approximately every 1.5 miles with water and electrolytes; limited gels are available at aid stations. There is a 6-hour cutoff for water stops, traffic guards, and official timed results. Packet pick-up is available on race morning. Parking is provided at Hawthorne Middle/High School, a short walk from the trailhead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
