Event overview
The Gastonia Police Donut Dash 5K and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Rankin Lake Park in Gastonia, NC. The event is in its third year at this location. Proceeds are used for officer-led community programs, including Angels in Blue, Shop with a Cop, back-to-school activities, and a Thanksgiving partnership with a local group.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K (with or without donuts)
- Fun Run (with or without mini donuts)
Runners in the 5K with Donuts option are required to eat six glazed donuts approximately halfway through the course.
Entry, fees and awards
Entry fees are listed as $35 for the 5K options and $25 for the Fun Run options. Registration deadlines differ by event and include dates in late October and November 2025. A $10 discount applies for children 12 and under and is applied at checkout. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by October 2; after that date shirts are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
