The Great Turkey Chase

The Great Turkey Chase is a charity running event in Clarkesville, Georgia, benefiting Clarkesville First Methodist Church Preschool & Kindergarten. The centerpiece is a 5K road race through neighborhood streets, starting and finishing behind the church, where runners chase a hand-plucked turkey as they dash through the course. A Kids Fun Run offers a mini-course for ages 8 and under.

The event is professionally timed for the 5K; strollers are welcome, pets are not. Every participant receives a T-shirt, and proceeds support the church’s preschool. Registration options include 5K, Kids Fun Run, or T-shirt purchase only.
