MGM Runway 5K

Event
The MGM Runway 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Montgomery Regional Airport (4445 Selma Highway, Montgomery, AL 36108). The event is the airport's second annual Runway 5K and includes the following entries:
- 5 km - Run/Walk, price $35
- 5 km - Spectator, price $0
Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult. Children 5 and under are free with a registered adult. The race is limited to the first 500 participants and participants must register to run.
Course and logistics
The course is on a closed airfield area and uses Taxiway Bravo, Delta, Echo and Runway 3-21 south; these are located beside an active runway. Participants will run beside aircraft and can see aircraft landing and taking off. Registered participants may run or walk the runway. A shuttle is provided to access the racecourse.
Packet pick-up is available on Thursday and Friday before the event and on race day at the MGM Intermodal Building (Taxi Building), 4448 Selma Highway, Montgomery, AL 36108. Awards are given to the fastest overall male and female and to age groups (14 & U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65, 65-69, 70-74, 75+).
