The Hennepin Hundred
The Hennepin Hundred is a premier ultramarathon held in Sterling, Illinois, featuring 100-mile, 50-mile, 50K, and 100-mile team relay races. The event takes place along the scenic, flat, and fast Hennepin Canal State Trail, Illinois' longest multi-use trail, stretching from Sterling to Colona near the Mississippi River. Runners experience a point-to-point all-trail course passing historic locks, lift bridges, farms, and charming towns, making it ideal for personal records or first-time ultras.
Aid stations are spaced every 3-7 miles, staffed by dedicated volunteers. Finishers receive unique swag including buckles, flannels, and medals. The race is a Western States 100 qualifier with a 30-hour cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
