The Magnificent Bastards Challenge
The Magnificent Bastards Challenge, held in Corinth, Vermont, is a grueling endurance event honoring fallen Marines. It features two main competitions: the Last Man Standing run and the Last Rucker Standing ruck march. Both involve repeated 1-mile loops with 300 feet of climbing, completed within set time limits that decrease as the event progresses, continuing until only one participant remains.
The run includes a special 24th fast lap with a prize for the quickest time. Ruckers carry weighted packs (35 lbs for men, 25 lbs for women) and must maintain weight checks. An Honor Lap option allows participants to complete a single loop at their own pace to support Northeast Slopes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
