The Magnificent Bastards Challenge : July 25, 2026, Corinth, VT
The event takes place in Corinth, Vermont at 10397 VT-25, East Corinth. Registration closes on Thu, Jul 23 at 11:59 PM ET. Runners and ruckers who sign up prior to June 25 are guaranteed custom Race Mozey silkies; entries after that date are not guaranteed silkies unless extras are available. The event includes three formats: Last Runner Standing, Last Rucker Standing, and an Honor Lap.
Event formats and key rules
Last Runner Standing: participants run repeated 1 mile loops with about 300 feet of climbing. Each loop must be completed within 20 minutes. The race repeats loops until one person remains. The 24th mile is the minimum distance to receive a medal and will be offered as an optional faster lap; a special prize will be given for the fastest time on that lap.
Last Rucker Standing: repeated 1 mile loops with about 300 feet of climbing. Initial loop time is 30 minutes. After 8 hours, one minute is removed from the allowed loop time each loop until it reaches 20 minutes, then it holds at 20 minutes. Male participants must carry 35 pounds and female participants 25 pounds in a pack. Weight will be checked at the start, at the end, and randomly during the event. Ruckers who complete 8 hours receive a medal.
Honor Lap: a single 1 mile loop done at the participant’s own pace. Honor Lap registration proceeds go to Northeast Slopes. Participants may check in and complete the lap while the event is underway. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
