The Bridges Academy Mama Bear Run 5K takes place on May 9, 2026 in West Islip, New York. The event is organized as a 5K run/walk and includes a free kids fun run. Registration fee levels change by registration date, and registering by April 19 guarantees a race shirt. Participants who register three weeks before the race may receive a personalized race number.

Location and additional information
The course runs on residential roads through West Islip and along the Keith Canal, with finish line photos and refreshments available. The event includes post-race raffle items and same-day finish line pictures; live online results and video are provided. Awards are given to the top mother finisher, top male and female overall, and top male and female in age groups 19 & under, 20-39, 40-59, and 60+. Proceeds benefit the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on race day. Teams may be formed or joined for the event.
