Event overview
The Mighty Mosquito Trail Race & Relay is a multi-day trail running festival held July 25-26, 2026. The event is based at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds, Mendon, New York; listings also show Honeoye Falls, NY. Camping is allowed in the surrounding area. All proceeds benefit the Blue Foundation, a charity in Canandaigua, NY. Registration closes July 20, 2026. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after June 24, and registering by July 1 qualifies participants for a custom shirt.

Race formats include solo 100-mile and 50-mile events, daytime and nighttime 50k options (the Mystical Mosquito is a nighttime 50k), new 10- and 20-mile solo options, and team relays (up to six members for the 99-mile relay; up to three members for the 50-mile relay). Cutoffs are expressed as elapsed times: the 100-mile event has a 34-hour cutoff; the 50-mile option has a 32.5-hour cutoff; the daytime 50k has a 31-hour cutoff; relay teams have a 28-hour cutoff. For the 100-mile solo, intermediate loop cutoffs include 80 miles in 29 hours and 90 miles in 30 hours. Aid stations are provided on the loops and at the start/finish. Relay teams must provide one volunteer. There are no refunds, though deferral options to future races are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
