The Race Before The Game
The Race before The Game is an annual running event held in downtown Sandusky, Ohio, celebrating the Ohio State vs. Michigan game day. The unique race courses utilize Sandusky's distinctive street grid to create themed routes: "Dot the i" (approximately 5 miles) for Ohio State fans, "Block the M" (about 4 miles) for Michigan fans, and a one-mile "Big O" walk/run option.
There is also an OH-IO Two-person Relay where participants split the Script Ohio course. The event promotes a spirited atmosphere with participants running or walking on sidewalks while obeying traffic laws. Registered runners receive long-sleeved shirts, and the race starts near Monroe Street at Cameo Pizza and Central Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
