About the race
The Remembrance Run/Walk 5k is held annually in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Memorial Day. The 5-kilometer course starts at Lynwood Baptist Church and features a scenic route that includes a climb up KFVS hill and a passage through Cape Girardeau County Park North, culminating along the Avenue of Flags, where nearly 1,000 U.S. flags line the road.
This event offers a respectful and patriotic atmosphere, honoring those who sacrificed for freedom. Participants can choose to walk, jog, or race, and receive a T-shirt, finisher's medal, and awards for top finishers in age groups. Food and door prizes are also part of the event experience.
