About the race
The Salisbury Beast 5K takes place in Salisbury, Connecticut. This USATF-certified 5K circles the hills surrounding town, offering a quintessential New England autumn atmosphere with views of Lake Wononscopomuc. The course is notably hilly: the first mile climbs what feels like about 1,000 feet, with about 500 feet gained by mile 1.3 before a turnaround at Lincoln City Road, then a fast descent back toward the start.
Proceeds support youth programs focused on adventure, arts, and education, and donations direct toward the National Ski Patrol Young Adult Program. It’s billed as Connecticut’s most monstrous 5K and draws families to the region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
