The Shippey Endurance Runs
The Shippey Endurance Runs is a challenging ultra marathon event held at the Beaumont Scout Reservation near High Ridge, Missouri, just outside Greater St. Louis. It features multiple race distances including 100 miles, 100 kilometers, a 40-mile night run, a 20-mile run, and a 100-mile 5-person relay.
The course consists of five legs ranging from 3.2 to 5.3 miles, forming a 20-mile loop with varied terrain such as steep climbs, ridgelines, creek bottoms, pine floors, and jeep roads, with about 75% single/double track. The race is known for its tough rolling hills, cold winter conditions, and a runner- and crew-friendly setup with indoor aid stations and close camping.
