The Sneffels Round

The Sneffels Round is a challenging mountaineering event held near Ouray, Colorado, with a 100-hour time limit. Participants choose their own routes to summit a selection of peaks from a map featuring 39 mountains, including many 13ers and the 14,150-foot Mt. Sneffels.

The course covers roughly 75 miles with 43,000 feet of elevation gain, mostly off-trail, and includes varying technical difficulties from Class 2 to Class 3 and higher. The event allows individual or team participation, requires advanced mountaineering skills, and enforces strict rules on support, navigation, and gear.
