The Summit 200

Website

The Summit 200 is a challenging 200-mile mountain ultramarathon held in Summit County, Colorado. The race features a single 200-mile loop that traverses stunning hiking trails, recreation paths, forest roads, and some pavement, with elevations ranging from over 9,000 feet to nearly 13,000 feet. Participants face approximately 40,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, making it one of the highest altitude non-repetitive 200-mile races in the U.S.

The event offers 12 aid stations, 4 sleep stations, and limited crew access to minimize congestion. Runners must be experienced ultramarathoners with a prior 100-mile finish. The race emphasizes a small, intimate field capped at 100 runners, with live GPS tracking, professional photography, and quality finisher swag including Patagonia jackets and buckles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
