Texas Double : overview
The Texas Double is a two-day running event held Saturday and Sunday, December 20-21, 2025, at Bachman Lake Pavilion, 3500 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220. The event offers single-day and two-day options for half marathons, full marathons, and 50K distances. Distances include:
- 13.1 miles
- 26.2 miles
- 50K
One race shirt is provided for the series. Finishers receive a medal for each race completed and a finisher medal for the series. The event qualifies for Marathon Maniacs and the 50 State Marathon Club.
Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back start followed by a 3-mile loop around the lake run counterclockwise. The half requires four loops and the full requires eight loops. Surfaces are concrete and asphalt, with a small hill near the bridge and at the start/finish each loop. Aid stations are located about every 3 miles and are stocked with sports drink, water, pretzels, bananas and other items. Bathrooms are at the start/finish and at several points around the lake.
The event is USATF sanctioned. The course is under construction and will not be certified for 2024. Chip timing is used and official results are scored by gun time. There is no time limit. Packet pickup occurs the day before and on race day. Registration rules include a 30-day cutoff to guarantee a shirt and a no-refund policy.
