The Tick
The Tick is a challenging 57.41-mile ultra running event held in Florida's Ocala National Forest, starting at Alexander Springs State Park and finishing at Rodman Reservoir Dam. The point-to-point course follows the Florida National Scenic Trail, featuring diverse ecosystems such as lakes, prairies, marshes, and dense pine and hardwood forests. Runners face rugged singletrack trails and must navigate 7.41 mandatory bonus miles.
Crew support is required due to limited water access, and participants must carry communication devices for safety. The race offers a raw, backcountry experience with abundant wildlife and demanding trail conditions, making it a true test of endurance in Florida’s wilderness.
