The Unforeseen

The Unforeseen is a unique running event held at Reedy Creek Nature Preserve in Charlotte, NC, organized by Kingfisher Ultras. Participants will run a random distance between 4.5 and 27 miles, determined by a dice roll just before the race begins. The course features a 2.25-mile loop with flat gravel and single-track trails, starting and ending near the pavilion.

The event includes aid stations with snacks and first aid, and the winner receives a Damascus steel knife. Registration is open until the day before the race, and volunteers are rewarded with future race entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
