Charlotte Marathon

Novant Health Charlotte Marathon, formerly Thunder Road, is Charlotte, North Carolina’s premier running event. One day, three events: Marathon, Half Marathon (including a Rucking Division), and Chick-fil-A 5K. Races start and finish in Uptown Charlotte, with a scenic course winding through Center City, tree-lined boulevards, arts districts, and historic neighborhoods.

The weekend features a Health and Wellness Expo, a Finish Line Festival, and on-course and post-race food and beverages. Proceeds benefit the Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital. Participants can join Team Hemby or take part in the RunCharlotte Distance Challenge to build toward the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
