About the race
The Theatre Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving morning running event held at Ditto Landing in Huntsville, Alabama. Now in its 4th year, the event features a holiday-themed 5K race with prizes awarded in women's, men's, and youth categories. For those not ready for the full 5K, a 1-mile Fun Run is also offered, ideal for beginners and children.
Participants are encouraged to wear Thanksgiving-themed costumes to add to the festive atmosphere. All proceeds support Around the Curtain Community Children's Theatre, a local nonprofit dedicated to keeping children involved in theatre arts.
