Thrive Empowerment Center - Thrive 5k Walk-Run
The Thrive 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, at Devou Park (Volpenhein Shelter), 790 Park Ln., Covington, KY 41011. The event is chip timed and will run rain or shine. Strollers are welcome and dogs are not permitted. The race supports Domestic Violence Awareness Month and benefits the Thrive Community Fund. Remaining registration funds will help provide empowerment programs at no cost to clients of the ION Center for Violence Prevention and other community members. A community fair at the start will provide information about classes at Thrive Empowerment Center and local resources.

- 5 km - Thrive5k; open to ages 12-99; entry fee $30
- 5 km - Thrive 5K (11 and Under); open to ages 11 and under; entry fee $5
Registration opens July 31, 2026. Age groups are 12-under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Runner awards are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place by Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories. Walkers receive 1st place awards by Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by 9/17/26; after 9/18/26 shirts are available while supplies last.
