The Tinsel Trot 5K & 1K Fun Run takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Silsbee, Texas. The event is based at the Silsbee Public Library (818 Earnest Ave) at the corner of Earnest Ave and 4th Street. The program includes community activities following the runs, including the Christmas in the Big Thicket festival and a judged holiday costume contest with awards for top finishers. The 5K is a timed race and the kids 1K fun run is scheduled after the awards.

Registration, packet pickup and awards
The 1K registration is free for ages 1-8. The 5K registration fee is $30 through November 15, 2025 and $40 from November 16 through December 6, 2025. 5K registration includes a race t-shirt in youth sizes S-L and adult sizes S-XXXL (extra charges apply for XXL and XXXL). Packet pickup begins at 1:00 pm on December 5, 2025 at the Silsbee Public Library, 295 N. 4th Street. Race morning registration and late packet pickup are available.
Awards for the 1K are given by small age brackets (3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10). 5K awards include overall male and female and 1st-3rd in age groups: 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
