About the race
Turkey Trot 5K – Presented by Byron Bank is a Thanksgiving Day running event in Byron, Illinois (500 N. Colfax St.). The 5K invites runners and walkers to kick off the holiday with a festive, family-friendly atmosphere before Thanksgiving feasts.
Notable features include a random pies giveaway for attendees, and the return of the Best Dressed Golden Turkey award with a prize. Runners benefit from chip timing by J3 Timing, overall plaques for the top male and female finishers, and medals for the top three finishers in each age division.
