Turkey Trot at Tradition is a Thanksgiving 5K run and fun run/walk held in Tradition, Port St. Lucie, Florida. The event offers a single distance:

All participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. There is no age limit. Strollers are allowed on the course; children in strollers do not need a separate registration unless they should receive a t-shirt and medal. Dogs are not permitted on the race course but are allowed in pre- and post-race areas. The event is non-refundable.

Course, timing and logistics

The 5K course is USATF certified (certification code FL21039JK). The race is chip timed by a professional timing company, with individual results pages that include pace breakdown, photos, and a short video of each finish. Results are streamed live on the timing company’s results service. Pre-race packet pickup is the day before the event in Tradition Square from 10:00am to 5:00pm; race day packet pickup and registration open early on event morning. Registration fees listed are $40 for the early period and $45 for the later period. The event is organized to raise funds for local charities and has donated more than $125,000 to local organizations over prior years; recent editions reported 2,772 registered participants and a $34,000 donation split between two local beneficiaries.
