Turkey Trot for the Twig

The Turkey Trot for the Twig takes place in Venice, FL on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event is a chip-timed 5K run held in Legacy Park adjacent to the Historic Train Depot and follows the Legacy Trail out-and-back. Proceeds benefit children in the foster care system and the programs of The Twig Cares.

The 5K includes a custom finisher medal for all finishers, a custom race bib, and a short-sleeve race shirt with optional upgrade to a long-sleeve or ladies' tank for an additional fee. Fee levels shown are $55, $45, and $35 for ages 0-17. Shirt requests are guaranteed only if submitted by October 1. Packet pickup is at The Twig (826 Pinebrook Rd, Venice, FL) on the Thursday before the race from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Unclaimed medals will not be saved after the event and uncollected packets, shirts, or medals are forfeited.

Fusion Fest 5k

Fusion Fest 5k is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, in North Port, FL (4970 City Hall Blvd). The event is a timed, pre-holiday fundraiser for the North Port Youth Soccer Club and includes a family festival at North Port City Green later the same day. Packet pickup is scheduled at Narramore Sports Complex on November 21. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before November 1. In-person awards for the 5K are given in age brackets and youth categories; water is provided mid-course and after the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
