Fusion Fest 5k : North Port, FL (Nov 22, 2025)
The event includes a timed 5 km and a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk at North Port City Center, with a festival to follow at North Port City Green. It benefits the North Port Youth Soccer Club. Runners receive water mid-course and post-race; snacks are listed as TBD. In-person awards for the 5k are given in 10-year age brackets and separate soccer-themed awards are listed for youth age groups. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations before November 1. Packet pickup is at Narramore Sports Complex on November 21 in the evening. All registration is online and participants receive entry to Fusion Fest activities at the City Green from 10:00 to 14:00, including games, music, vendors and food.
Turkey Trot for the Twig : Venice, FL (Nov 22, 2025)
The Turkey Trot is a chip-timed 5 km held at Legacy Park adjacent to the Venice Historic Train Depot and benefits children in the foster care system and programs of The Twig Cares. All 5K finishers receive a custom finisher medal, race bib and a short-sleeve race shirt; upgrades to other shirt styles are available for an extra fee. Shirt orders are guaranteed only if placed by October 1. Packet pickup takes place at The Twig (826 Pinebrook Rd) on the Thursday before the race. The published course runs from the Venice Historic Train Depot up the Legacy Trail and back. Sponsors and packet/medal pickup policies are listed in the event information.
