Tyler Brown's "I Hate to Run" Memorial 5K : event details
Tyler Brown's "I Hate to Run" Memorial 5K takes place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Wilmington, DE at Abessinio Stadium, 1 Saint Rocco Way, 19802. The event offers two options:
- 5K (in-person)
- Virtual 5K
In-person registration is listed at $25 and the virtual option at $35. The in-person price increases after November 7, 2025. Virtual registration closes on January 10, 2026. A course map is provided for directional purposes.
Race features, logistics and awards
Participants receive a race long sleeve T-shirt and a free pint glass. Post-race food includes pizza, hoagies, chips and cookies, and beverages include beer for participants over 21. Post-race activities include a DJ, a digital photo booth, an awards ceremony, and a ticket raffle with prizes such as a signed sports jersey, a weekend resort stay, a case of wine, gift certificates, and event swag. Parking is available at the stadium and restrooms in the concessions building will be open on race day.
Awards are given for overall male and female, overall masters male and female, and the top three in age groups (9 and under; 10-13; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+). Overall and masters awards use gun time; age-group awards use chip time. Virtual results do not count toward age-group awards and virtual swag will be mailed.
