The Wild & Rooted 5K Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Mt. Cuba Center, 3120 Barley Mill Road, Hockessin, DE 19707. The event is the inaugural 5K trail run hosted by Mt. Course and on-site features
The course covers 5K of Mt. Cuba Center’s trails across its 1,000-acre property. Terrain includes grass, mulch, gravel, and dirt surfaces with moderate hills and rolling sections. The route passes meadows, forests, streams, ponds, and areas managed for ecological restoration and native-plant habitat. The description mentions views of Appalachian Piedmont topography, native trees and birdlife, a restored pond, and partnerships such as The American Chestnut Foundation.
Post-run offerings include a conservation expo, 30-minute hay wagon rides, guided walking tours of the natural lands, live music, and food and beverage options including beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Registrants who register by November 10 are eligible for a commemorative t-shirt. Race registration includes general admission to Mt.
