Event overview
The Ugly Sweater 5K Run and Sweater Stroll is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Elkhart, Indiana. The event includes a 5K run or walk and a 1-mile Sweater Stroll. The organizer notes a new start/finish location for 2025 at North Side Middle School, 300 East Lawrence, Elkhart. The course will pass through some small parks and will include much of the same area used in prior years.

The Sweater Stroll is not timed and has no placement awards. The 5K awards include finisher mementos for all, top three overall male and female, and age-group awards three deep across 15 age divisions. There is a costume contest for ugly sweaters that starts before the race and additional costume awards. Pre-race photo booth opportunities and finish-line hot chocolate and holiday treats are provided. Packet pickup and onsite registration are available Friday, December 5 (4:00 - 6:00 pm) at Elkhart Health & Aquatics community meeting rooms and Saturday morning at North Side Middle School gym (7:00 am - 8:15 am).
