"Using our Voices" Mental Health Run
The "Using Our Voices" Mental Health Run is a student-led event taking place in Patchogue-Medford, aimed at promoting mental health awareness and wellness. This initiative, which has expanded to include four school districts, features a competitive 5K, a Kid Run for children aged 10 and under, and a non-competitive 1 Mile Run/Walk. The event is designed and executed entirely by students, fostering leadership and community engagement.
Proceeds from the run support mental health organizations that directly assist youth, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being through physical activity. The event encourages inclusivity and aims to empower students across Long Island. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
