Zion Ultras - April 11, 2026
The Zion Ultras is a multi-distance trail race held at Ruby Rider Ranch in Apple Valley, Utah, adjacent to Zion National Park. The event includes multiple ultramarathon and trail distances and an expo with bib pickup the day before the race.

- 100K - 61 miles
- 60K - 41.5 miles
- 30K - 18.9 miles
- Trail Half Marathon - 13.6 miles
Course and logistics
Courses run on technical dirt trails, singletrack, slickrock, and exposed mesa roads with views of sandstone cliffs and desert canyons. Several routes use loops and out-and-back sections and include named features and aid stations such as Mondo Z, Gooseberry, and Virgin Desert. The 100-mile course includes river crossings, long exposed climbs on paved and singletrack sections, and technically steep descents with fixed rope sections.
Aid stations offer water, electrolyte fuel, fresh-cut fruit, salty and sweet items, soda, and portable bathrooms; later stations add medical supplies, sunscreen, salt and electrolyte caps, and anti-chafing agents. Drop bags are allowed for ultra distances with specific labeling, size, and drop-off deadlines. Crew and pacer access varies by distance - crew only for the 60K, crew and pacers for the 100K and 100-mile, and none for the 30K and half. Overall race cutoffs are enforced per distance and missing a cutoff can result in a DNF. Primitive on-site camping is available at Ruby Rider Ranch with potable water, porta-potties, quiet hours, and strict check-out rules.
