Zion Ultras : April 11, 2026, Apple Valley, UT
The Zion Ultras are a set of trail races held at Ruby Rider Ranch in Apple Valley, Utah, adjacent to Zion National Park. Courses run on technical dirt trails, singletrack, slickrock, atv roads, washes, and some paved road on Smith Mesa. The event lists five distances with exact mileages:
- 100 Mile - 97.6 miles, technical dirt and singletrack
- 100K - 61 miles, technical dirt and singletrack
- 60K - 41.5 miles, technical dirt and singletrack
- 30K - 18.9 miles, technical dirt and singletrack
- Trail Half Marathon - 13.6 miles, technical dirt trail
The routes pass features such as Wire Mesa, Gooseberry Mesa, Mondo Z, Virgin River areas, and views of thousand-foot sandstone cliffs near Zion National Park.
Logistics, cutoffs, and support
Expo and bib pickup take place the Friday before the event at Ruby Rider Ranch with scheduled expo hours. Aid stations provide water, commercial hydration fuel, fresh fruit, soda, salty and sweet foods, and portable bathrooms; some stations include medical volunteers and later-station medical supplies like salt caps and sunscreen. Drop bags are allowed for ultramarathon distances and must be labeled; ultra drop bags have specified drop-off deadlines and size limits. Crew and pacer rules vary by distance: crew only for 60K; crew and pacers allowed for 100K and 100 Mile; none allowed for 30K and the half. Overall cutoffs are listed per distance (for example, 36 hours for the 100 mile). Camping options are available at Ruby Rider Ranch with primitive campsite facilities.
