The VALOR 5K takes place on April 11, 2026 at Winchester Regional Airport, 491 Airport Road, Winchester, VA 22602. Event distances include:

- Kids' Mile
The event honors public safety and military personnel and was formerly called the Trooper Manion Memorial 5K & Kids' Mile.
Course, registration and race details
The course is held on the airport runway and is described as flat. Military, fire and rescue, and law enforcement apparatus will be displayed along the route. A memorial area near the route will allow local agencies to honor those who died in the line of duty or who left their profession unexpectedly.
Online registration opens January 15, 2026. Online registration remains available until race day. Entry fees listed are $35 for the VALOR 5K and $20 for the Kids' Mile. The VALOR 5K is open to ages 6 to 100; the Kids' Mile is open to ages 6 to 12. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before March 1; afterward shirts are limited by inventory. Shenandoah Valley Runners members receive a $1 discount, and teams may register to compete against other teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
