Vashon Island Ultramarathon & Trail Run : event profile
The event on Vashon Island, WA offers three trail distances:

- 10 Miler
All races start and finish at the Gateway Trail system near SW 178th and 103rd SW. The event is USATF sanctioned, follows ATRA event standards, and is organized by a Washington State nonprofit whose proceeds support island youth athletics. Entry is limited to 200 participants. Team competition is offered: three-member teams combine finish times in Female, Male, and Mixed categories; each team must have a captain to report times at the finish area. Registration has a no-refund policy, with roll-overs or exchanges handled by the organizer.
Course, aid and logistics
The course uses Island Center Forest trails and nearby parklands, combining single track, double track, dirt roads, gravel, grass shoulders and short paved sections. The route includes the Gateway Trail, 188th Trail, Valley of the Firs, Fisher Pond aid area, Mukai Pond, and perimeter of Dragons Head Cider Farm. Elevation change is about 770 feet per loop. Aid stations are located at about miles 6 and 10; 50K runners pass each aid station three times. Runners share trails with the public and may encounter pedestrians, bicyclists and equestrians. Camping is available Friday night in the start/finish field with porta-potties and water provided. The event uses live tracking via UltraSignup.
