About the race
Vermont Spartan Summer 24 Hour Hurricane Heat is a 24-hour, team-based endurance challenge held at Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont (birthplace of the Hurricane Heat and home to Spartan founder Joe De Sena). The event emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and problem solving over distance, featuring more than 40 missions that push endurance, leadership, and resilience. Expect land navigation, ruck dragging, tire movements, candles-under-wire crawls, and litter evacuations.
The festival atmosphere—music, beer gardens, and Spartan energy—complements the rugged mountainscape. Finisher rewards include a Hurricane Heat finisher tee and wedges that snap together to form the ultimate Hurricane Heat award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
