Veterans Day Cross Country Run

The Veterans Day Cross Country 4K Run, hosted by the Northport Running Club, is held at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Golf Course in Northport, NY. The English-style 4K course runs entirely on grass (about 2.48 miles) with no pets or baby joggers allowed. In its 45th year, the event benefits hospitalized and homeless veterans on Long Island, with proceeds supporting local veterans' programs.

The day also features a 4K Military Service option and a Healthy People Fun Run/Walk. Post-race snacks, an awards ceremony, and raffles follow, with commemorative flags and dog tags on display.
