The Vets Day 5K & 10K takes place on November 8, 2025, at the War Memorial, 750 N Lincoln Memorial Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202. The event is produced by Silver Circle Sports Events and is part of the Wisconsin Chilly Willy Winter Run Series. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 5K Walk
- 10K
- 1K Kiddo's Race
- 5K Ruck
The event partners with Silver Circle Foundation to raise funds for Operation Finally Home. Participants are asked to perform 22 pushups before the race to honor Project 22; if all participate, the organizers will donate $1,000 to Operation Finally Home.
Course and logistics
The start and finish are located in front of the War Memorial at the top of E. Mason Street. The 5K course measures about 3.37 miles; the 10K is two laps and measures about 6.26 miles. There is one on-course aid station supplying water; the 5K passes it twice and the 10K four times. Runners are encouraged to carry a water bottle.
The event is chip timed with a chip start; recorded time begins when a participant crosses the start line and ends at the finish line. Packet pickup is available the day before (time TBD) and at the race site; registrants must present the QR code on their email receipt. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by noon on October 24; long-sleeve upgrades are available for an additional fee. Refunds are not permitted. Awards include a finisher woodle for all and age-group custom woodles for top finishers; an awards ceremony is held at the race. Volunteers may run a future race at no charge.
