Course, support and rules
The main loop is about 33.4 miles per loop, combining paved paths and single-track trails within Shelby Farms Park. The course passes lakes, wooded areas, and wildlife habitat; the park is noted to include a herd of buffalo. Two fully manned aid stations will be staffed at Hyde Lake Pavilion (start/finish) and Tour de Wolf Pavilion; runners will visit the Tour de Wolf aid station twice per loop. There will also be at least one unmanned aid station, covered sleeping areas at both manned aid stations, and drop bag access at those aid stations.
Key rules: runners must finish the distance registered, no muling, no crew assistance outside full manned aid stations, no course cutting, and the course must be completed on foot. Pacers are permitted only for the 300, 200 and 100 mile races, limited to one pacer at a time, and must follow pacer-specific procedures at packet pickup and aid stations. No refunds or bib transfers; partial race credit deferrals are available with deadlines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
