About the race
Virginia Spartan Event Weekend runs October 25–26, 2025 at Massanutten Resort in Massanutten, Virginia, against the Blue Ridge Mountains. The event offers Sprint (5K, 20 obstacles) and Super (10K, 25 obstacles), plus a Kids Race (1–3 km). A Trifecta Pass lets competitors tackle all three distances.
Set in dense forests with rugged trails, the course features steep climbs, rocky terrain and open fields, delivering a true backcountry challenge. Expect classic Spartan obstacles—Atlas Carry, A-Frame Cargo, Barbed Wire Crawl, Rope Climb, Spear Throw and more—along with locale-specific twists.
