About the race
Located in West University Place, Houston, the King & Spalding's 2025 West U Halloween Dash and Kids' Fun Run Presented by West U Smiles takes place at the West U Community Center (6104 Auden). The event features a USATF-certified, flat and fast 5K on tree-lined streets with six turns, plus a non-timed 1-mile Kids' Fun Run. A separate Stroller and Dog Division starts after the main wave.
Proceeds benefit the City of West U’s Parks and Recreation Department. Festivities include Halloween costumes, a costume contest, chip timing for the 5K, and race-day photography. It's the 14th anniversary of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
