Western Mass 10
The Western Mass 10 is a scenic 10-mile point-to-point race held in Massachusetts during peak fall foliage season. Starting on the UMass Amherst campus, the course runs through downtown Amherst before following the Norwottuck Trail, a paved bike path with a net downhill elevation and panoramic views of the Holyoke Range and Connecticut River Valley. A highlight includes crossing the Connecticut River on the Northampton Lattice Truss Bridge, finishing in downtown Northampton near Union Station.
Participants can run solo or as part of a 2-person relay with an exchange at the 5-mile mark. The event also features a NoHo 5K, a flat course in Northampton, suitable for runners and walkers. All runners receive technical shirts and finisher medals, with a festive post-race party offering food and beer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
