Western Mass 10
The Western Mass 10 is a scenic 10-mile point-to-point race held in Amherst and Northampton, Massachusetts, typically in early November during peak fall foliage. The course starts on the UMass Amherst campus, passes through downtown Amherst, and follows the paved Norwottuck Trail with a net downhill elevation, offering panoramic views of the Holyoke Range and Connecticut River Valley. A highlight is crossing the Connecticut River on the Northampton Lattice Truss Bridge before finishing in downtown Northampton near Union Station.
Participants receive a custom finisher medal and technical shirt, and enjoy a post-race party with food and beer. A 2-person relay option and a NoHo 5K race are also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
