New England Green River Marathon
The New England Green River Marathon is a scenic and USATF-certified marathon held annually from Marlboro, Vermont to Greenfield, Massachusetts. The course follows the Green River, passing through an 1870’s covered bridge and finishing with a celebration under maple trees at Greenfield Community College. Featuring a net 1,400-foot elevation drop over a rolling, downhill route, it is known for fast times and numerous Boston Marathon qualifiers.
Ranked as the fastest marathon course in New England and 17th fastest nationwide, the event offers a unique blend of natural beauty and competitive opportunity. Participants can also support the Connecticut River Conservancy through fundraising efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
