Whispering Pines

Whispering Pines is a free, flexible trail running event held at Whispering Pines City Park in Inverness, Florida. Featuring a 5-mile loop of mixed single-track and double-track trails with packed sand and pine needle surfaces, the course offers gentle hills, ample shade, and two paved road crossings. Open from 7 AM to 7 PM, participants can run or walk as many loops as they wish, checking in after each.

The event welcomes all ages and abilities, fostering a social and laid-back atmosphere. An aid station with trail snacks is available, and finishers completing at least 10 miles receive awards. Proceeds support park maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
