The 14th annual Wild Azalea Trail Challenge takes place on January 3, 2026, in the Evangeline Ranger District of the Kisatchie National Forest near Alexandria, Louisiana. The event includes both running and mountain bike races across multiple distances. Registration closes January 2, 2026.

Course and race details

The route uses the Wild Azalea Trail, a continuous trail of 26 miles that runs through varied terrain. The trail is described as well-maintained and mapped, with visible half-mile markers. Participants pass through lower hardwood and creek areas and higher, hillier sections with Longleaf Pines.

The 50-mile event has a 14-hour cutoff; all races are subject to an overall event cutoff. Race updates and additional information are posted on the event Facebook page.
