Event overview
The Winter Wonderland running event takes place in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA (5400 E. Ocean Blvd., off 54th Place). The event offers multiple race distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half marathon
The course is an open course on the beach path and uses out-and-back loops that are marked. Runners are asked to be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists on the path. An aid station at the turnaround/start-finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. All finishers receive a medal and a goodie bag. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit. Transfers are permitted only by emailing the organizer; there is a no-refund policy.
Registration, maps and logistics
Registration is available via PayPal or Active.com; entrants should use one method only. After PayPal registration, an email is sent to finalize registration. Course maps are provided for the 5k and the half marathon loop; the 10k is two 5k loops and the 15k is three 5k loops. Parking is free in the nearby residential area; the beach parking lot is paid by ticket machine. Results are posted on the event page, usually by the evening of race day.
