Event overview

Wy’east Wonder is a point-to-point trail race in Parkdale, Oregon, held on June 27, 2026. The event offers two distances:

Capacity is 500 combined entrants. The race is based out of Red Barn Park in Parkdale and moves around the south and east sides of Mt. Hood (referred to locally as Wy’east).

Course and logistics

Both courses run mostly along two ridges - Gunsight Ridge and Surveyor’s Ridge - and include extensive mountain views and wildflower terrain. The 50M course is listed with roughly 7,000 ft of elevation gain and about 10,000 ft of elevation loss; the 50K is listed with about 4,000 ft gain and 7,000 ft loss. Course pages include aid station mileage, cutoffs, and crew access details.

There is no parking at the start or finish; participants, volunteers, and spectators park at Red Barn Park and use shuttles to reach the start. Bib pickup is at Red Barn Park (including a Friday evening option); photo ID is required. The finish area at Red Barn Park includes food and beverages, live finish results, age-group awards (three deep), top-three awards by gender and non-binary category for each distance, raffle prizes, and a finisher pint glass for every finisher. The race takes place on National Forest trails where horses may be encountered. The organizer acknowledges the traditional homelands of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs, the Wasco, and the Wishram Tribes.
