The event is the fifth annual edition organized by In The Loop Run Crew and includes both an in-person and a virtual 5K option. The 2026 local beneficiary is Pride Center San Antonio. The race has supported local LGBTQIA+ nonprofits and has helped raise over $16,730 to date.
Logistics and race details
The course is an out and back route with lots of shade and one water stop at the turnaround (1.5 miles); participants are encouraged to carry water on course. Organizers advise against bringing dogs due to heat and recommend against strollers because of the out and back layout. Registration options list a $30 fee for the in-person 5K (registration ends June 12, 2026) and a $38 fee for the virtual 5K (registration ends May 26, 2026). Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and on race morning. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, professional chip timing and bib, a post-race vendor market and nonprofit resource fair, and entry to a raffle with prizes from sponsors. Awards are given to the top three in each 10-year age group and to overall winners in male, female, and non-binary categories. The event notes parking is available though some lots are a short distance from the start, and volunteers from Veterans of Equality will be on site for safety.
