YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K and 1 Mile
The event is the 4th Annual YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K and 1 Mile, scheduled for November 27, 2025, at the Downtown YMCA, 1010 9th St, Wichita Falls, TX. The event takes place on Thanksgiving Day and aims to highlight landmarks in the Downtown area.

The 5K is a chip-timed race and the 1 Mile is a non-timed family fun run. Packet and T-shirt pick up is available the day before and on race day. There are opening ceremonies before the races, the 1 Mile is held before the 5K, and awards are presented after the races. Awards for the 5K go to the top three male and top three female finishers and consist of gift cards from local businesses. Participants in the 1 Mile are entered into a prize drawing.
The race route runs through downtown with volunteers stationed at intersections to assist participants. A water stop will be located on Indiana Street just past the two-mile mark. Parking is available in the southeast lot at the corner of Burnett and Ninth Street. Ninth Street will be closed from Scott Street to Austin Street on race day. A food drive to benefit the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank will be held on race day at the Downtown YMCA; the first 100 registered donors on race day receive a commemorative beanie.
