YRun Dayton 5K / 1 mile Fun Run

Standard entry fees listed for 2026 are $20 for the 5K and $5 for the 1 Mile Fun Run; the Dayton Students Run Free events are free. Registration for the main events opens February 28, 2026; registration for the student 1 Mile Fun Run opens April 10, 2026.

The course is described as mostly flat through Dayton neighborhoods, with a moderate hill around mile 2. The race begins and ends at Courthouse Square Park in downtown Dayton. The event is organized by YRun Dayton, a Dayton school district sponsored club; all proceeds will help fund K-12 running programs in the Dayton school district. Every race participant will receive, while supplies last, a free performance race tee provided by sponsor 86 Radon Mitigation; specific sizes cannot be guaranteed.
