Event overview
The 16th Annual 10 Mile Brewery Run in Memory of Ric DiVeglio takes place on January 17, 2026 at The Sandbar in Patchogue, New York. The event is restricted to persons aged 21 and over. The race is a 10-mile road event on a scenic, flat, USATF certified course. New for this year are pacers to help participants maintain goal paces. There is a 2 hour 15 minute course cutoff; participants who do not finish within that limit will be asked to move off the course and will not receive an official finish time. Custom finisher medals and long-sleeve tech shirts are provided, and a post-race party includes Blue Point beer, non-alcoholic beer, food, and live music.
Logistics, registration and awards
Early bib pickup is available at Blue Point Brewing Company in the days before the race, with day-of pickup at a tent at The Sandbar. Water stations and portable toilets are located at miles 3, 5 and 7. Parking is available at several nearby lots and public transport to Patchogue LIRR station is recommended; the station is about a 12-minute walk to the venue. Registration fees are non-refundable; GLIRC members, veterans, and seniors have specified discounts. Participants who fundraise $300 receive a refund of their registration fee; those funds are split among Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Patchogue Medford Youth & Community Services, and William's Warriors. Awards include top three male and female overall, top three in multiple age groups, top wheelchair racers, age-graded awards, and masters and senior masters prizes.
