10,000 Feet 10k

The 10k @ 10,000 Feet is a challenging trail running event held at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Known for its breathtaking mountain scenery, the race starts at an elevation of 10,000 feet and features a course with approximately 1,200 feet of elevation gain and loss. The main race covers nearly 6.8 miles (officially listed as 10k), beginning with an uphill stretch on dirt roads and two-track trails, followed by a downhill single-track finish.

A 5k option is also available. The event is celebrated for its beautiful terrain and was voted the best 10k in Colorado by Colorado Runner Magazine in 2010. Proceeds benefit Steamboat Nordic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
