3 Legged Monster Race
The 3 Legged Monster Race, held in the Mark Twain National Forest near Steelville and Leasburg, Missouri, is a unique relay event featuring teams of two competing in running, mountain biking, and paddling. The race covers scenic trails of the Ozark Trail, including rolling hardwood forests, bluff overlooks, and pine groves. The mountain biking leg is an IMBA "epic" ride through diverse terrain, while the paddling leg follows crystal-clear creeks and the Meramec River to the finish line.
Participants can choose between a short course (7-mile run, 11-mile bike, 12-mile paddle) or a long course (13-mile run, 30-mile bike, 12-mile paddle). The event supports the Ozark Trail Association and offers a challenging outdoor adventure in a beautiful natural setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
